Nicole Jaramillo was born in Panama and lives between Madrid and Paris, where she divides her time between writing and her work as an advertising executive. She started writing more than fifteen years ago when she arrived in Spain. Writing opened up a space for her to unburden herself from the world while exposing herself to it, as she arrived in a country where she didn't know anyone. She made it her profession in two ways, since, in parallel to literature, she writes and produces slogans, visual elements, and video spots for communication agencies.
In 2019, she published her first novel, Acepto ser yo, an autofiction told in the first person about coming out, immigration and self-acceptance. When she started writing her second novel, the need to direct came to her as a natural extension of her work. Pesca was born at that moment and has never left her. This story was composed with images rather than words, probably because she always had difficulty finding them on this subject.
